Frequently Asked Questions
01
Is eFund Insurance a real career opportunity or just another insurance sales job?
eFund is designed for people who want to build a career in insurance and sales—not simply pick up a temporary sales position. We invest in training, coaching, technology, leadership, and ongoing development to help our agents improve their skills and performance over time.
02
Is this commission-only, or does eFund offer a more stable compensation structure?
eFund offers employment opportunities that can include hourly or salary-based compensation plus performance incentives, depending on the position. Our goal is to provide stability while still rewarding strong performance and growth.
03
Will I have to find or buy my own leads?
No. eFund sales agents work company-provided lead opportunities. You can focus your energy on speaking with customers, understanding their needs, and helping them find appropriate coverage rather than prospecting for your own leads.
04
Are the people I speak with actually interested in insurance?
Our sales process is built around connecting agents with consumers who have expressed interest in learning about insurance coverage. Your job is to understand why they were looking for coverage, identify their needs, and professionally guide them through their options.
05
Do I need previous insurance experience to succeed at eFund?
Insurance experience can be helpful, but success at eFund is also about coachability, communication skills, work ethic, consistency, and a willingness to learn. Our training is designed to teach agents our sales process, systems, underwriting guidelines, scripts, and procedures. eFund's training materials specifically provide for onboarding and ongoing sales training.
06
Do I need to already have a life insurance license?
Licensing requirements depend on the position you are applying for. If a license is required, our recruiting team will explain the requirements and next steps during the hiring process.
07
What does training at eFund actually look like?
Training is hands-on and structured. New agents learn our systems, sales process, scripts, underwriting, applications, customer conversations, closing, and placement. Training also includes call monitoring, role-playing, feedback, and one-on-one coaching—not simply sitting in a classroom.
08
Will I be thrown on the phone and expected to figure everything out myself?
No. We believe development requires training followed by real-world practice and coaching. New agents receive support as they transition from training into production, and calls may be monitored so trainers and managers can provide specific feedback.
09
Will someone coach me if I'm struggling?
Yes. Coaching is an important part of eFund's culture. Trainers and managers review performance, listen to calls, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide actionable feedback. Our goal isn't simply to tell you that something needs to improve—we want to help you understand how to improve it.
10
What will be expected of me?
We expect our agents to be dependable, coachable, professional, productive, and committed to improving. You'll be expected to follow our sales process, serve customers professionally, participate in coaching and training, and work toward clearly defined performance standards.
11
How is my performance measured?
Sales is a measurable profession, and we believe expectations should be clear. Depending on your role and experience level, performance can include areas such as sales production, closing ratio, placement, talk time, productivity, quality, compliance, and continued improvement.
12
What happens if I struggle when I'm first starting?
We understand that learning a new sales process takes time. New agents receive training, call monitoring, coaching, feedback, and support as they develop. At the same time, eFund is a performance-driven organization, so we expect agents to apply their coaching and demonstrate continued improvement.
13
Can I work remotely, or is eFund primarily an office environment?
eFund offers both remote and office-based opportunities depending on the position, business needs, experience, and location. The specific work arrangement will be clearly identified during the recruiting process.
14
What kind of person tends to grow at eFund?
People who are coachable, competitive, disciplined, positive, resilient, and willing to work on their craft tend to thrive. You don't have to know everything when you arrive. You do need to be willing to learn, accept feedback, practice, and continuously improve.
15
Why should I choose eFund over another sales opportunity?
Because we want to provide more than a seat and a phone. eFund combines lead opportunities, structured training, coaching, technology, performance-based earning potential, and opportunities for professional growth. If you're looking for a place where your effort, development, and results matter, eFund may be the right opportunity for you.
16
Are there benefits, PTO, and a 401(k)?
Yes. eFund offers a competitive benefits package for eligible employees that includes paid time off (PTO), health and dental insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan. Eligibility and benefit details our recruiting team will review the complete benefits package with you during the hiring process.
17
Do I have to know right now whether I'm a perfect fit?
No. That's what our recruiting process is designed to help determine. If you're interested in sales, enjoy helping people, are willing to be coached, and want an opportunity to grow, we'd encourage you to take the next step.
18
What happens after I click "See If You Qualify"?
You'll provide some basic information about yourself and your experience. Our recruiting team will review your information and, if there appears to be a potential fit, contact you regarding the next step in the process.
19
Is the work meaningful, or is it just about making sales?
Sales matter, but there's a family behind every policy. Our agents speak with people who are thinking about how their loved ones will handle final expenses and other financial responsibilities after they're gone. We want agents to understand that they're not simply closing a sale—they're helping families put protection in place.
